Operations Recruitment Process
What happens when you apply for a job at NWF?
Our Operations vacancies include warehouse and factory floor roles such as packing and picking, team supervisors and management.
When you apply for a job with NWF we will ask you to upload your CV and create a candidate profile to save time in the future.
You will receive a series of emails from us. Some of them aren’t very exciting—sorry—but we need to make sure we do everything right! This will also include confirmation of the role you have applied for.
While we aim to get back to all job applicants, please understand that due to the high volume of applications we receive, it may not always be possible to respond. If you haven’t received a response within a couple of weeks, it typically indicates that your application has not been selected for further consideration.
If we choose to interview you we will email you a date and time. Of course you can suggest a different date.

We will email you to let you know how your interview went. If it is good news, you’ll receive an offer from us. Your offer will include details of our benefits package, holiday etc. You can login into your NWF applicant account from the email to accept or decline the offer.
When you confirm you are happy to join us, you can still use your account—but now as a colleague to make your first few weeks and months easier. In your account you will find an Onboarder Starter Pack – this tells you about the things we need from you as well as a Welcome Pack.
You will have an exciting joining plan for your first 3 months. This is to make sure you get the best from the benefits and learning opportunities we offer, and the best possible start in your career with us.
I joined NWF in 2017 as a Section Manager in the Merston factory. I then decided to do a teaching qualification, giving me a qualification to become a training instructor for First Aid, Mental health, Fire training and Safeguarding. I proposed to the business an in-house training programme and formed part of the H&S team. Recently, I became
the Operations Training Manager working with the Operations Trainers across all four sites as well as delivering different training programmes.

I joined NWF in 2021 as a Health and Safety Manager and was later promoted to H&S Business Partner for two sites. My role includes ensuring H&S compliance, driving a safety culture, and NWF has supported my growth by funding my MSc in Risk Safety Management. The company fosters a sense of belonging, offers career opportunities, and helps people to build a meaningful career.

I joined NWF in 2006 as an Agency colleague with the ambition to become a full-time colleague at NWF. I successfully secured a role as a Manufacturing Operative, shortly after taking a position as a Section Manager, a huge milestone for me. I gradually worked my way up to the position of interim General Manager. Today, I am the Head of Operations for
our Leaf sites, my career at NWF stands as a testament to the power of strong work ethic, passion, and a strong commitment to personal and professional development.
