Colleague thoughts
I joined NWF in 2017 as a Section Manager in the Merston factory. I then decided to do a teaching qualification, giving me a qualification to become a training instructor for First Aid, Mental health, Fire training and Safeguarding. I proposed to the business an in-house training programme and formed part of the H&S team. Recently, I became
the Operations Training Manager working with the Operations Trainers across all four sites as well as delivering different training programmes.

I joined NWF in 2021 as a Health and Safety Manager and was later promoted to H&S Business Partner for two sites. My role includes ensuring H&S compliance, driving a safety culture, and NWF has supported my growth by funding my MSc in Risk Safety Management. The company fosters a sense of belonging, offers career opportunities, and helps people to build a meaningful career.

I joined NWF in 2006 as an Agency colleague with the ambition to become a full-time colleague at NWF. I successfully secured a role as a Manufacturing Operative, shortly after taking a position as a Section Manager, a huge milestone for me. I gradually worked my way up to the position of interim General Manager. Today, I am the Head of Operations for
our Leaf sites, my career at NWF stands as a testament to the power of strong work ethic, passion, and a strong commitment to personal and professional development.
